Amazon Prime Student Case Competition – American Marketing Association
As a member of the American Marketing Association, I participated in a case competition to create a strategic marketing plan for Amazon Prime Student. My group conducted SWOT and competitive analyses, developing unique strategies like using college ambassadors. We met twice a week to brainstorm and research, eventually combining our ideas into a comprehensive proposal.

This experience taught me effective teamwork and confidence in voicing my opinions. When finalizing our analysis, I suggested splitting tasks to improve efficiency, which helped us complete the project on time. We also studied other companies' methods to enhance our strategies and embraced constructive feedback to refine our SWOT analysis. Our critical thinking and collaboration earned us commendable recognition in the competition.
Undergraduate Research – Coaching Communication and College Athlete Outcomes
This past fall semester, I conducted undergraduate research on how coaching communication, especially criticisms, affected college athlete outcomes like satisfaction, motivation, and performance. I created a survey using various communicative scales and targeted student-athletes by reaching out to coaches, team captains, and athletic acquaintances via social media platforms. After collecting enough survey responses, I analyzed the data to find correlations between coaching styles and athlete outcomes. I also completed a literature review and complete data analysis.

This research taught me to analyze scholarly literature effectively, requiring over 30 academic sources. Networking was crucial for distributing my survey, relying on friends, family, and teammates. The process taught me perseverance, involving long hours, continuous editing, and complex data analysis. This experience has enhanced my academic and writing skills, and I have become more receptive to constructive criticism and more comfortable seeking help from professors.
